Lien goes to visit her mom at the clinic. She sees that her mom is even more skinny, and when she starts talking to her mom, she seems different to Lien. Her mom tells her about what they do in the clinic every day and how she must first forgive herself before expecting them to forgive her. She realizes she has been a lousy mother figure to them. Lien asks her mom if she thinks they could ever forgive her dad, but her mom does not answer her. She takes Lien to see the small chapel. Lien gives her mom a Chopin piano concert CD and asks her to come home.
