Lien se Lankstaanskoene by Derick van der Walt

Geldig vir dertig dae

Hein gives Lien a quotation of R2800 for the wheelchair he is making. Lien is a little shocked and does not know how she is going to pay. She asks everyone who begs close to where she and Tibbey work, but hardly anyone is willing to contribute. Lien visits Tibbey in the hospital, but his eyes look lifeless, and he is silent. The nurse tells Lien that he is depressed and that it is normal for him not to speak. When Lien calls the manager at the bowls club, he says that Tibbey is allowed to stay there again if he watches over the cars on weekends. Lien thinks about visiting her mom at the clinic but worries that she will never forgive her mom. She worries that things can never go back to the way they were before everything that has happened.

A video shows a tall man with dark hair trying to hit a golf ball into a hole while a group of people watch him from a distance. The camera turns toward a teenage girl with long dark hair and a green golf bag who gives the tall man advice. The man gets the ball into the hole and wins a trophy. He invites the girl onto the stage, and they hug each other while staring into the camera.
