Mrs Breed is wearing her usual outfit. Sylvia is at the retirement home. Mrs Breed and Sylvia take a walk to the Koffieboon. At the Koffieboon, the waitress recognises them and seats them. Mrs Breed calls Sylvia “her daughter”. 

This chapter shows us that Sylvia regularly returns to the retirement home even though she is not required to. She has grown fond of Mrs Breed and takes her to the Koffieboon - the place that Mrs Breed always talked about.
