Sylvia drives cautiously to the hospital - she doesn’t want to arouse any suspicion from the police. Fransie’s state worsens. Sylvia takes Fransie into the hospital, they wait for a short while, and they see a doctor. Fransie struggles whilst the doctor examines him. At the end of the examination, the doctor says that Fransie doesn’t have meningitis but has the flu. The doctor recommends a painkiller to alleviate some of Fransie’s symptoms. Sylvia isn’t happy with this diagnosis, however. She is certain that Fransie has meningitis and demands to see a paediatrician.
