Composing herself, she bids her mother goodbye, managing to convince her parents to go out for dinner to buy herself time. Upon their departure, she excitedly watches the DVD she had received in the mail - 'Exit through the Gift Shop', a documentary on street artists, featuring Banksy among others.

Startled by the noise of the garage door, she manages to hide her laptop just in time to bid goodnight to her returning parents. Once alone again, she researches the artists she had seen in the documentary, further fuelling her excitement and anticipation for her night-time creative adventure, further emboldened by the sight of movement at her father's steel motor gate, she gets a glimpse into the covert lifestyle of nocturnal creation. The chapter ends with Frankie dozing off to a dream of becoming the little girl in one of Banksy's stenciled murals in London.
